A trusted resource centre for undertaking cadastral surveys, IGC has provided cadastral survey and mapping services to both the public and private sectors.

Survey and mapping, for Agricultural Engineering Department (AED), Government of Tamil Nadu, at a scale of 1:5000 for an area of 600,000 hectares was completed in a period of 6 months ending March 2008. Subsequently, surveys for 200,000 hectares were completed in June 2008.

DGPS surveys for cadastral map rectification, georeferencing and digitization at a scale of 1:5000 were performed for Auroville, a unique community in Southern India, for their planning and asset management activities.

Soil map digitization over cadastal maps for the sugar industry was undertaken and successfully completed in 2006.

Watershed maps with area and scheme implementation details were prepared for TAWDEVA (Tamilnadu Watershed Development Agency) in 2009.

In August 2009, survey and settlement maps were prepared for Alchemy Urban Systems for part of the flood affected Kosi river basin.

In November 2009, Village level cadastral maps were prepared for Tamilnadu Agricultural University, with GPS field survey, gereferencing and digitization in a geodatabase.

IGC also has expertise in transport corridor asset management and accident analysis, geophysical surveys, watershed management, ecological studies and architecture & town planning.

IGC has also provided personalised and professional training to PWD, AED, IMTI (Irrigation Management Training Institute), AETC, RMK Eng. College, TCS, IBM, Hexaware, Pixel, Wipro, Noble Systems and Midwest Infotech.
