IGC is a trusted resource centre for undertaking flood risk assessment, watershed management, asset mapping & cadastral surveys with DGPS, traffic corridor analysis and Map portal development.

IGC has provided cadastral survey and mapping services to both the public and private sectors. Survey and mapping, for Agricultural Engineering Department (AED), Government of Tamil Nadu, at a scale of 1:5000 for an area of 600,000 hectares was completed in a period of 6 months ending March 2008. Subsequently, surveys for 200,000 hectares were completed in June 2008.

DGPS surveys for cadastral map rectification, georeferencing and digitization at a scale of 1:5000 were performed for Auroville, a unique community in Southern India, for their planning and asset management activities.

Soil map digitization over cadastal maps for the sugar industry was undertaken and successfully completed in 2006.

In November 2009, Village level cadastral maps were prepared for Tamilnadu Agricultural University, with GPS field survey, gereferencing and digitization in a geodatabase.

IGC has also provided personalised and professional training to NIOT, PWD, AED, IMTI (Irrigation Management Training Institute), AETC, RMK Eng. College, TCS, Tata Power, IBM, Hexaware, Pixel, Wipro, Noble Systems, KSRSAC and Midwest Infotech.
